Computer-Integrated Time Study (CITS) has been developed to assist in the collection, management, analysis, reporting and charting of time study data. The complete implementation of CITS takes advantage of the superior user interface and flexibility of the modern desktop or notebook personal computer and the portability of the new Handheld PCs. These "shirt-pocket" sized computers truly help make the system portable and totally integrated. With the complete system, you are capable of collecting, organizing, and presenting time study more quickly and accurately than ever before. The analyst can easily save between 25% and 75% of the time required to conduct an engineered work measurement study. If just one-half engineer man-year is involved in conducting time studies, a two month payback period is not uncommon.
